Saumu Hussein is a youth leader and social impact advocate based in Mombasa, Kenya, dedicated to advancing opportunity, wellbeing, and inclusive growth for young people. She leads the Youth Thrive Project at Pwani Youth Network, supporting health career pathways and strengthening youth advocacy for economic empowerment.
A psychosocial support and mental health advocate, she facilitates awareness sessions under the Nurture First Initiative and provides capacity strengthening across Mombasa County. She is also an inclusive digital skills trainer, equipping young people from underserved communities with practical technology skills. A former GOYN Youth Advisory Group member and Young Feminist Fellow, Saumu is committed to amplifying youth voices and advancing collaborative, community-driven solutions.
