100 Opportunity Youth Graduate from Integral Work Training Programs
GOYN Mexico City promotes multi-sector partnerships for decent work as one of its core strategies. The Integral Work Training (FIT) model was designed by Mexico’s national youth in partnership with Decent Work Alliance and GOYN Mexico City, with the aim to train opportunity youth to occupy specific job vacancies in partner companies. Recently, GOYN Mexico City celebrated the graduation of three FIT programs developed in partnership with Gastromotiva, Mercado Libre and Fundación Ozaru, to train and place youth in the hospitality sector, the digital economy and logistics.
Through this partnership, 25 opportunity youth – 13 women and 12 men – graduated from the FIT program, strengthening soft skills and vocational skills to engage in the gastronomy sector. These youth are participating in internships at restaurants like La Docena and La Bodeguita del Medio.
During four months, 41 opportunity youth – 23 women and 18 men – were trained as shipping representatives, through the Redes al Futuro program of Mercado Libre. They finished their training and enforcement in skills for life and employability, and technical training, among others.
32 women participated in the Women in Data program by Ozaru. They received training in soft skills such as creativity, innovation and leadership; empowering skills like storytelling and labor rights, and digital skills for data analysis.
