Alvin Kayonga

Alvin is the Africa Regional Lead for the Global Youth Opportunity Network. He brings over six years of experience in strategy design, fund structuring, impact evaluation, and policy analysis across various sectors, including agriculture, finance, education-to-employment, innovation, and energy.

Before joining GDI, Alvin worked with Dalberg, where he supported national governments, development organizations, philanthropies, and private sector actors to solve complex challenges across Africa. His work spans developing youth investment funds and early-stage financing facilities on the demand side, to TVET and higher education reforms and innovative skills development programming on the supply side, as part of broader employment promotion strategies.

Alvin holds a BSc Hons in International Business, Finance, and Economics, and an MBA. He is also a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
