Sabira Moradi is Finance Manager at the Aspen Forum for Community Solutions where she supports financial planning, management, and analysis across all programs. Previously, she worked for Aspen Financial Security Program, developing systems and processes to strengthen programmatic operations and working closely with the senior leadership on strategic financial planning and developing and managing complex program budgets.
Before that Sabira worked for the Aspen Global Innovators Group (AGIG), supporting business development, grants management, and managing AGIG’s program budget. While in college, she interned at the UN Department of Public Information, organizing briefing events for visitors on issues on the UN agenda and supporting the Office of UN’s Special Envoy in a major climate-change event, the Ocean Conference, emphasizing the implementation of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 14). She also interned at the Office of Financial Services Unit at Aspen, supporting the Director of Finance in managing grants and program budgets. Sabira earned a BA in economics and international studies from Trinity College in Connecticut. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Sabira came to the U.S. as a teenager to attend boarding school in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
