Sameer Shaikh

Sameer was born and raised in Mumbai and proudly likes to be called a Mumbaikar. He started his journey in the social sector as a volunteer in a community-based organization and discovered his passion for making a difference. So, he decided to pursue his education in the humanities stream. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from Azim Premji University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the College of Social Work, Nirmala Niketan.

Sameer is a development professional with over seven years of experience in program management, youth engagement, partnerships, and communications. He has previously been associated with organizations such as Kotak Education Foundation, Akanksha, RPG Foundation, and Aseema, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for creating a positive impact. He aspires to develop a society based on social equality and is passionate about helping youth unleash their potential.

He is an avid reader and enjoys travelling to explore new cultures and landscapes. In his free time, you will find him watching live stand-up comedy shows and sometimes hitting open mics too!
