ChangeMaker Omar Chai has put together a formidable team at Kadzandani Creative Youth Organization which has been on the forefront to fight gender based violence in Mombasa county. Through one of their initiatives called #RaiseYourHand, the team has been on the forefront to empower girls to speak out loudly and #StandAgainstGBV. With the rise of GBV causes orchestrated by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team has hosted numerous tweetchats where an expert panel discussions to raise awareness and call for action to #EndGBV.

The team has received $1000 to enhance their campaigns work as we walk towards a #GenerationEquality. They will engage girls and boys from their community as well as other duty bearers to empower them with skills and strategies to fight this menace. We can’t wait to have a Mombasa as #GBVFree!
