Global Development Incubator Latin America Relationship Manager, Global Opportunity Youth Network

Jesus Tabares is the Relationship Manager for Latin America at the Global Opportunity Youth Network, facilitated by the Global Development Incubator. In this role, he supports the network’s communities across Latin America, focusing on strategy development, learning enhancement, partnership building, grant management, and local initiative replication. Jesuscollaborates closely with the team to tailor the regional strategy, ensuring alignment and maximizing the value proposition for local partners.

Before his current position, Jesus was a pioneer in using emerging technologies to build a safer and more inclusive society. He co-authored the first guide on digital careers for youth in Bogotá, Colombia, and has been instrumental in the successful articulation of private and public actors to design and implement projects in technology for social good, youth employability, territorial development, SDGs, and social innovation.

With over a decade of experience in sustainable development and technology for social good, Jesus has held various leadership roles, including Guest Lecturer at Universidad Sergio Arboleda and Founder of Fundación Manos por mi Región. His expertise spans strategic alliances, team leadership, and consultancy services, underpinned by a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies on Development from Universidad de Los Andes. Jesus is dedicated to creating educational and economic opportunities for Latin American youth, leveraging his skills in leadership, adaptability, and team collaboration.
