Sharanya Hariharan

Sharanya is a Senior Associate in the Strategy & Build team at GDI South Asia, based in India. In her role, she actively supports the Global Opportunity Youth Network (GOYN) initiative by collaborating with diverse stakeholders, facilitating initiative delivery, and managing various internal functions.

Prior to joining GDI, Sharanya worked for over six years in the development sector, dedicating her career to addressing complex social problems through initiatives focused on innovation, strategic philanthropy, and capacity building. Sharanya has made significant contributions across diverse multidisciplinary areas, including Education, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, Women’s Empowerment, and Youth Empowerment, with organizations such as Dasra, Educate Girls, Saral Designs, and Kaivalya Education Foundation. A recent graduate in Gender, Development, and Globalisation from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Sharanya possesses a fervent commitment to gender rights and justice. She aspires to integrate this passion and perspective into her role at GDI.
